Dear GVP Tech – I'm a dealer – and I can understand where some of the
frustrations your users feel come from.
There is mention in your correspondence of dealers being treated differently
than end users. Will you please pass on the special telephone number (by
e-mail)?
Perhaps some of the confusion is created by the lack of communications from
your company. I am a stocking distributor of the G-LOCK product, and haven't
received any correspondence from GVP in ages, other than that which is invoice
related.
We currently have a problem with a G-LOCK VGA+, which doesn't work with
Autodesk's 3D Studio release 2. Works fine with windows and DOS programs,
however while 3D Studio is loading, it hangs. In a 486 PC.
I too feel better talking to real people, but appreciate you're doing what is
most cost effective. Your real people operator gave me the forum information.
I hadn't thought to look under Amiga.
All the best –

I will get Mike Santiago (he is our resident G-Lock VGA+ wizard) to send you a
FAX or reply to this message. Which would you prefer?
I don't think he would mind doing either… However I do understand that you
may have a time related issue that you need to solve and we do only go on-line
twice a day at this point.
let me know the best way that GVP can serve you (FAX or Compuserve) and we will
endevour to surprise and support you.

P.S. GVP Tech Support can also be reached Via Internet by either of two ways.
Via our Compuserve account as 72662.51@compuserve.com or directly via
gvpi!GVPTECH@uunet.uu.net.
Thanks, Bill. Online is fine – twice a day is twice as often as I usually
check in. With the time difference between there and here, any text you send
during your day will be picked up by me in my morning check for messages.
Of course, if there's anything with pictures, fax is best.
The fax is online all the time. It's number is 852-813-8073 (852 is country
code for HK)
Thanks again — looking forward to a surprise!

Ron,
Check the ATI section of CIS for a file called VESA.ZIP. These are updated
VESA drivers for the ET4000-based VGA boards and are more current than the ones
provided with our board. I have seen these newer drivers correct some problems
with 3D Studio.

Thanks, I'll try dwnloading them, and let you know the results.
