I have made an image which contains a rendered version of the Buddha mesh. I thought I would upload it here and to some BBSs until I got to thinking about some of the messages here relating to the use of such meshes. Am I being paranoid, or is this a legit question? Thanks. ————— Your concern is a valid one. The files that Viewpoint DataLabs contributed to the 3DS-CD can be freely used. Viewpoint's standard licensing agreement when you PURCHASE a Dataset from us, is that you get unlimited use of the Dataset, but cannot resale or redistribute the Dataset in any form. However the renderings, animations, images, etc that you produce are soley owned by you. You may freely distribute any images you render using our Datasets. (Any shameless plug for us that you place on any image you put on a BBS will without a doubt encourage us to keep up this policy). Regarding the specific meshes provided by Viewpoint on the 3DS-CD, Datasets such as Buddha are still sold by Viewpoint thru our Catalog and CD's. Ofcourse there is no reason for any 3D Studio user to purchase it from Viewpoint since it is on the 3DS-CD, and can be freely passed amoung 3D Studio users. Hope this has answered your questions.
