Is there an upgrade in the works & if so, will it support 24 bit? Thanks, -Scott

Scott, << Is there an upgrade in the works & if so, will it support 24 bit? >> Autodesk does not discuss future product features, shipdates, platforms. 🙁 jonas[adesk]

Sorry Jonas, I didn't know that! 🙁 What about the version 1.3a upgrade for ANI PRO? Can I order that online? Thanks, -Scott

Scott, Autodesk does not discuss features of future releases. However, 24 bit has been the most popular wish list item for AAPRO. As you know, wish list items are one of the things that help determine the features of our new releases. -brian

Thanks, Brian for elaborating on this. I suppose I'm just looking forward to the day I can bury my copy of Photoshop & go ADESK exclusive! -Scott

>>With responses like that … you should run for public office <GD&R><< And not only that.. I have that response set up as a Macro to automatically insert it into the reply when I need it! ( I tend to say that a lot.) -Brian

Wishlist for Animator: An automatic, interactive, tiling option which will take your cel and tile it, and will automagically reflect any changes in the cel across all tiles. Would then allow you to save the modified cel. Would be used to create seamless maps for 3ds.

Larry, Nice Wish. I'll put it in. You know you can come close to that using the Swap screen, and apply ink tools. Have the cel on one swap screen, and the cel with apply ink and tile on the other. Flip over, make a change, save the cel, flip back, re-apply the ink. Not quite interactive, but it works pretty well. I've made a few seamles tiles this way. -brian

HI guys, Since we are wishing…I'd like to see ANI PRO painting side upgraded to 24bit…24bit animation maybe sometime away for the most desktop hardware…but the painting side would not be a bad thing at all…GH
