#post_med error

post_med update: These are the things I tried to fix the problem, which now can
be easily repeated (assuming this is the same problem – but it seems to be as
it is a path type problem) by loading CHRMFACE and then from the Materials
Editor swapping .SXPs in Texture 1 from MIRA TEAL between one or two other
.SXPs until (after changing
SXPs two or three times) I get a "Bitmap is not in your path" type message.
3DS is losing the path somehow after successfully rendering once or twice!
1. Moved entire 3ds3 app from D: to C: and adjusted all
paths accordingly including -swapdir in cfig386.
2. Took out all drivers from config.sys including HIMEM.SYS
so that my final config had only MOUSE in it. Thereby
eliminating SMARTDRV and my CD-ROM as variables.
3. Scanned for viruses with latest version of SCAN.
4. Ran CHECKIT w/no reported errors.
I can't think of any other thing to do except remove the WEITEK, although I
can't believe that my system would have to be hacked apart simply to get 3DS3
to run now that it no longer supports WEITEK but did for V1 and V2. That
doesn't make since. Does it?
By the way, I didn't mention it, but system is not on a network.
Thanks in advance for assistance.

FYI, I just tried reproducing the problem you had with chrmface.3ds and losing
the path when switching between sxp's in Medit and had no problem with it. If
you (or anyone else) can come up with a reproducible case, I'd love to see it,
but for now, my guess is that it has something to do with your system
environment.
