I just got a Brand New CEI A1962 monitor from my local dealer. If anyone
out there is still looking for a monitor that is compatible with "ALL"
Amiga video modes, get this monitor. Essentially it is a Commodore 1960
clone, however, it uses a Phillips Tube and has a Dot Pitch of .28. Also,
I believe it is a Tri-sync and not true Multi-sync.

Could you confirm on the tri-sync? That's important, extremely!
Also, how does it look? Good picture? Good case?

I can not confirm if it is a Tri-Sync. All I know is that one of the
techs at my dealer said that it was. The monitor has a very crisp
picture. Much better than my old Panasync 1391. The case is very much
like the 1960s'. Also the plastic is molded in the same Platinum White as
the A600, A1200, A4000. Oh! Did I forger to mention that it Auto-centers
the screen. What a God send! And if this helps, I use the monitor for my
PC and I've never seen it look better. Makes looking at windows a bit
more acceptable. Mabe you can tell me what this means, It has a sticker
on it that says MPRII Compliant.
One problem I have, however, is that no waranty card or paperwork
came with it. All I received with it is a single sheet of paper that
explains safety of operation.

MPRII compliant means that it won't fry your eyes out with extra
radiation.
It autocenters, but how does it do with black borders? In NTSC and in
Super72.

You can probably verify whether or not it is a tri-sync by fiddling with
the tooltypes of the monitor drivers, like by using MonEd, IF you're
careful and know what you're doing. I.e. if the picture dies as soon as
the scan rate moves slightly you have a tri-sync.
