I am curious to know whether the following is normal when utilizing Windows… When I boot my sys. into Windows I will have, just for example, 75% free resources & 8200 free memory available. As I load, use and exit out of various programs the available resources & memory diminishes little by little until they are unacceptable to run programs as usual. The only way I have found to re-obtain the original amounts is to reboot my system. Is there a way to set up my system to avoid this ? I run a 486DX 33 with 8 mgs ram & a 345 mg Maxtor HD. I commomly run among others – WP 6.0, Lotus 4.1, Winfax 4.0, Quicken 3.0, Symantec Timeline. I alternate between using Norton Desktop, PC Tools & Dashboard as File Managers.
