Charles,
This is great news on two counts;
The Amiga is definately in need of a _GOOD_ financial management package,
I for sure will be watching "this space" for more details.
It's also good to see that you will appear in the AmigaVendor forum soon,
It's difficult getting support on Ami-anything at the moment <g>
On that note, perhaps you can advise/speak to tech support for me?
My problem is that I have an A1200 with GVP A1230 II 68ec030 40Mhz
accelerator and the GVP A1291 SCSI card installed. To the SCSI chain I've
got a Tandberg 3660 tape drive which the GVP card knows is there, and
Ami-Back does too, but (and heres the annoying bit) Ami-Back will ONLY
retension the tape, whenever it tries to rewind/erase or backup to the
tape it gives me the following error;
"Illegal SCSI Request"
I have Ami-Back version 1.05b (given away free on a magazine coverdisk
recently) but before I spend hard earned $'s upgrading to the latest
release I want to get my drive working! There are messages in the GVP
section of the AmigaVendor about this which you can peruse if it would be
helpful.
BTW, would Tapeworm FS be any use to me, what is it, how much does it cost
and who distributes it in the UK?

Kevin,
Let me check with the programmer on that one. I remember hearing some stuff on
Tandberg tape drives but I can't remember off hand…
I'll get back to you with all the info.

Charles,
Thanks, I wait with baited breath as I've had it up to the neck with the
whole thing, but I'm NOT going to give in unless someone is brave enough
to say "NO, you'll NEVER get that working because…" and gives a really
good reason….<g>

Mike, (the programmer) told me that there was a batch of Tandberg 3600 tape
drives that were refurbished and real flakey. He said that might be the
problem (as it should work fine). He also said to try the demo version of
AmiBack 2.0 first. I'll check to see if it is on CIS….if not, I'll upload
it. Give me a day or so…
