<< However, 1.3a also fixes a memory problem and a few other little things. If you wanted to run under windows, in a DOS shell, you could fill out the bug form in the back of your manual and will receive 1.3a. Of course, if you don't want to run like that, there is no need.>> Brian: How about shelling-out to ANI PRO from 3DS? Is there a benefit to the 1.3a upgrade, or only for Windows/DOS shell? Is there a list of these improvements somewhere in the forum lib?

<<How about shelling-out to ANI PRO from 3DS? >> The AAPRO update has no bearing on shelling from 3DS into AAPRO. Phar Lap in 3DS controls this, not Phar Lap in AAPRO. For details on shelling out of 3DS, download 3DSHEL.TXT from the 3D Studio library.

I have a Gateway P5-90 with MGA PCI 2MB card. Can anyone tell me whether there is a specific driver for Animator Pro player other than the vesa ones which play back in jerk mode. I have the new beta drivers for 3D Studio and I can play a FLC file comparatively smoothly from within 3DS but this does not allow contol of speed of playback or stopping at a given frame, and anipro player does not recognise the new 3DS drivers no matter where I place them. Gratefully awaiting any replies

"jerk mode" <g> Well, I like your turn of phrase! Autodesk does not support the MGA card directly, except as a VESA device. However, it's worth calling Panacea or Vibrant to see if they have a driver which can give you increased performance. The 3D Studio drivers are different and will not work. Vibrant: 800/937-1711 Panacea: 800/729-7420 Good luck. The MGA has a good reputation, and I hope that Panacea and Vibrant can help. Nik

Nik Thank you for your reply. I will contact Vibrant & Panacea and see what they have, I have also replied to Brian Rudolph's reply to explain the problem in more detail and see if there is any solution to architechtural walkthroughs that look more like stumble throughs! The VGA Producer card (which was not inexpensive) is my basic output to PAL Video realtime 1st draft client approval and exhibition stands etc, and therefore this is a mega setback. Still, I live in hope of a brainstorm compuserve solution <g> … any further ideas gratefully appreciated. Thanks again Richard
