I just purchased Animator Pro and am going through the tutorials. I am
using the 320 X 200 resolution and it looks like CGA/EGA. 1. I need
to know how to get the appropriate drivers for my video board. It is
a Diamond Speedstar 24X in a standard ISA slot. I don't think this
matters but I use WFW 3.11 and have a 486/66 with a SCSI hard drive.
2. Also, I have to run animator pro under windows because when I run
it from DOS (6.2) the screen/image goes in and out dark/light. 3.
Finally, sometimes when I close animator pro I get an error message
"memory allocation error; cannot load COMMAND, system halted"; I have
16 meg of RAM. Thanks for your help. Doug Lazenby P.S. I was trying
to look you up in the CServe membership (so that I could add your
name to the address book) and it said you didn't exist. (I searched

AAPro will run VESA cards in order to get higher than 320×200. Do you have the
VESA driver for your card? Check with Diamond (also, you might try the
UVESA3.ZIP file in this forum. It is a universal vesa TSR and might support
your chip set). Finally, both Panacea and Vibrant can probably help if you
need to buy a driver for your card:

run DOS 6.2 without this symptom, so it must be something other than
DOS 6.2. Have you tried booting plain, or line by line (saying NO to
some of the config.sys lines, or REMMING them out)? I'm sure you
have something during your bootup that's interfering – and probably
related to your symptom when you close AAPro "memory allocation
error; cannot load COMMAND, system halted".

exist." Hmmm, you're right – "No members found". I don't know what
the deal is here. There could be a problem because of new CompuServe
software, I'm not sure. I'll mention it to our sysop Robert
Henderson.
