Hi, I may find it necessary in the reasonably near future to get an internet connection — and was wondering if anyone could advise regarding what pd or shareware stuff was available here to do so. I'm running an A2000 w 030, about 6M memory, hard drive, 144 Hayes modem…. would like to get a SLIP or PPP connection ( I think ). The only thing I saw in my file list off CIS was amiTCP or something like that, and from the description it sounded like it needed a network card (SANA II)….but according to my Internet references what is needed is just a serial device. Any and all advice much appreciated, thanks. (AutoPilot'ed from) JcP

Jeff, AmiTCP includes a SLIP driver with the archive, I believe. That's all you need, except a frontend to dial up and establish a connection and reconfigure all of your AmiTCP stuff before going online. It's a steep learning curve. I've just downloaded a PPP driver off the Internet. It looks a bit more graceful. I'm working on it. Ask me how I'm doing in a few days, perhaps? Robb
