I am running OS/2 2.0 GA+SP. The SCSI controller is Adaptec 1542B. The
CdROM is Texel 3024. HD is connor 540MB (SCSI-2). Sound Card is SB 16 ASP.
The system only has SCSI device, no IDE device or controller. ABout the
config.sys, I've followed the suggestion inside the OS2CDR.ZIP which is in
the compuserve forum (advised by IBM). Ie used OS2CDROM.DMD. Would that be
any help ? If you need more information, please let me know. regards,
David:
There could be two problems now that I see what your full setup. Texel has
a bug in their BIOS that is causing some people problems if they have a
hard drive attached to the same SCSI contoller as the hard drive. Texel
has owned up the problem according to what I have read in the OS2USER
forum.
You might want to check with Bill Hinkle (75300,2050) in the OS2USER forum
since he has the Texel CDROM and I don't (I have a NEC). The latest CDROM
drivers are very stable. I should be getting a revised module to test
shortly. The only problem that I ran into was that the volume control was
more like an on/off switch than a linear volume control.
