#Specifying Vertices

Is there a way to specify how many vertices and faces can be created
on an object such as a sphere? This is for morphing purposes and I
am aware of certan IPAS routines that will create melting morphs and
such (I am waiting for the catalog to arrive in my box), but until
then, can this be done with any other method?
You can do a Create/G(or L)Sphere/Values to change the number of faces
on your spheres.

I've tried using Create/GSphere/Values to change the number of faces, but I
cannot seem to narrow it down to the exact number needed to morph to my second
object, is there a way? I see no place to input a variable.

You're correct; you can't input a specific #. There is a sphereize IPAS (Yost)
that will morph a shape to a sphere. This may help.
James, the general idea is to create your morph targets FROM the original
object, therefore the vertex count will be the same and the transition will be
valid. Or, you can use the Spherify.pxp from YG IPAS disk #2. With it, you can
morph dissimilar objects to/from the sphere to give the illusion of a morph
between the 2 objects.
