I checked-out NEWAGE.ZIP and the only problem I can foresee is that
some of my current users are running my program on 80286 class
machines. Therefore I'm not sure if I'll be able to use your
compression scheme. I am still very interested in exploring the
possibility of using your other tools, especially the one which would
allow the VCR style controls on-screen during FLI playback. Is there
a way for me to BETA test these? If they proved to be the tools I'm
looking for, I would consider telling my users to upgrade to a '386 if
they had to. Thanks.

I'm going to upload a file that will demonstrate what you need. Just keep
checking this forum for new uploads from NEWAGE.

Excellent! I'll keep my eye out for it.
What is the file size limit on Nic? I tryed to compress a 20 meg flic
and it said to call New Age, did I max it out or is it a color
pallett problem, I'm not sure I used a single pallett.
I -know- I used a single pallette and it wouldn't handle a 12 meg flic.
If the program does what it's supposed to (and I ain't seen it yet) it
could be an excellent addition to my registered software list. But if it won't
touch anything over 6 megs, what am I going to do with that?

Check out Smacker. It has compressed > 192 MB flics with no
problems (there should be no limits at all). There are also no
problems with multiple palettes. It will outcompress NIC by 20% to
50% with much, much greater quality. It isn't freeware, but we do
have a money back guarantee.
Thomas:
You have also maxed out on the input file size limit. I may pull out that stop
and release it into public domain. Keep an eye right here.

You've maxed out the preset file size. I will be uploading NIC v1.2
with no limit on input file size.
