For GVP Tech Support – A question about RAM My equipment is: 1. A2000/68030/33Mhz/FPU/MMU with an attached 2. GVP Impact 3001 AT HD Controller w/IDE HD and 3. GVP Impact 3001 32 bit Ram exp with 8mb RAM; fast 24 DMA. In another zorro II slot is: 4. GVP Impact A2000 HC + 8 Series II SCSI DMA controller, A-boot Eprom v4.5 (DF24) and space for 8mb 32 bit DRAM SIMMS; and 5. GVP DPRC integral to controller to run external drives, tapes etc. In an adjacent Zorro II slot is: 6. Utilities Unlimited Deluxe EMPLANT board. Question. Can I add the 8 mb DRAM SIMMS to the SCSI controller slots and achieve contiguous 16 megs of 32 bit Ram to assist in EMPLANT and video applications? Joe Clarkson

Joe, Unfortunately you cannot add any memory to that configuration. Our newer boards allow for EXTENDED ram, which frees up the AUTOCONFIG memory area for 16-bit memory and allows for larger amounts of contiguous memory in the extended range. You cna contact our Customer Service line at 610-354-9495 for trade-up information. GVP TECH
