#Monitor trouble

I just bought a CTX monitor from Creative Computers and I'm having
problems getting the multi-sync to work. I get a jittery picture on my
IV-24 deinterlacer installed in my A2000 (WB 2.1). I went to the
SYS:DEVS/Monitor drawer and removed my NTSC icon and replaced it with the
Multi-Sync icon, rebooted the machine and there is no difference. I go to
the overscan preference and there is no multi-sync mentioned, just NTSC.
Could someone PLEASE tell me what I'm doing wrong! Thanks!!!
Do you have a genlock hooked in-line with your monitor? I have a 1960 and
a 4000/040, if my SuperGen is in-line, I can only get NTSC displays and
listings in the monitor setup. I guess that the Amiga knows if a genlock
in hooked up and doesn't allow you to select anything but 15.75KHz
displays.

I figured out part of my problem just before I read your message. The
IV24 has a genlock and it was active. By syncimg with the Amiga instead
of the genlock I solved several problems. The one problem I still have
left are the two vertical black lines on either side of the screen (which
Creative said would only be visible in Super 72 format.) Do you, or
anyone, know if there some type of monitor editor online here on CI$?

There is a monitor editor file called MonEd.lha I believe. You may have to
do a search to find it. I used it to center my screens.

I tried Moned but I must be using it wrong because it seems to have no
affect on my display.
Hmmm… that's strange. It didn't move your screen around while you
adjusted the sliders?

No. There are only two slders not ghosted. The TOTCLKS will crop off
part of my picture but won't make it wider. TOTROWS decreases my vertical
space. Help!
You are right, in NTSC (15KHz) mode, it doesn't do a thing. I does work in
DBLNTSC mode (that is the mode I needed it to work in).

I'm sorry but how do I access DBLNTSC? As you may have learned I'm
pretty monitor ignorant.
To access DBLNTSC:
1. First off you need a multi-sync monitor (the 1084 is not a multi-sync).
2. You can not have a genlock hooked up to your Amiga.
3. You need Amiga DOS 2.04 or higher.
4. You need a 1200 or 4000. (this may be possible on a 2000/500 with the
the enhanced chip set but I am not sure)
5. Move the DBLNTSC icon from your STORAGE drawer into your DEVS:monitors
drawer.
6. You open your Prefs drawer and double click on the ScreenMode icon.
That will open a window that has the monitors in your DEVS:Monitors
drawer listed, select DBLNTSC.

Thanks for the step-by-step instructions, but, I've done that already.
I borrowed the DBLNTSC monitor from my A1200 and put it in both the
Storage/Monitors drawer and the Devs/Monitor drawer along with Super72 yet
when I click on the screenmode icon ony NTSC and MULTISCAN show up. I
rebooted and they still didn't showup. Is there something else I should
be doing? I had a tough time getting MULTISCAN to show up a couple days
ago and I don't knoow how I did it. MULTISCAN just sorta showed up. Any
ideas? Please?!
You selected 640X400 interlaced in the prefs?
