I've spent the last month trying to find the answer to just this question. Far and away the best solution that I have found is Dave's Targa Animator (DTA2.1) which is here on CSERVE. It converts from many formats to many others. I capture AVI files from video for windows then convert them to FLC's with DTA. Good luck eh.

There are several that will convert FLC to AVI. Audio visual recorder by insync, adobe premier, and several utilities in the GRAPHSUPP or MSAPP forums. Going from AVI to FLC usually means saving the AVI as a series of TGA files and then compiling into FLC format. DTA does a good job of that, as does NUMPIC in AAPRO. -Brian
