Hi Alex,
>>To give things a little bit of a direction I have already sent them a fax and
I guess mine will not be the only one! :)<<
Do you have a fax number and a contact person? I maybe doing that as well. *IF*
they think about this seriously, I will develop new products for the Amiga
commercially.

BTW, what product did you develope?
Bye
Alex
Alex,
Thanks for the info!
I made an accounting package for the Amiga (Belgian flavour).
For now, I am finishing a tax calculation package.

Bart,
if that tax calculation program is based on the Belgian legislation, consider
me as a potential buyer.

Gee! A customer!<g>
Thanks, Lieven. I really am writing it *and* it is Belgian flavour. I'll
calculate my taxes with it as well.

Hi Bart,

That is why I did not know any of your programs 🙂

Hi Bart,

Oh my, how many times have I heard this before 🙂 Not just during the C=
liquidation but also from a friend of mine who programmed BlitzBlank. He also
always said "Oh yeah, it will be released in about two weeks!" and it turned
out to be half a year (but at least it was worth the wait :))!
This program of yours, will it be commercial or a shareware release?
Bye
Alex
Alex,
>>also from a friend of mine who programmed BlitzBlank<<
What is blitzblank?
>>it will be released in about two weeks!<<
I now of no bigger liars than programmers, unfortunately I'll have to include
myself <g>

Cheap commercial. In Belgium, people “don't'' use shareware.<weep>

Hi Bart,
>> What is blitzblank?
It is the BEST blanker for the Amiga. It is in the Screen Utilities section. It
is Giftware and even has a module with grafix from me in it (AmigaSign) 😉
>> Cheap commercial. In Belgium, people “don't'' use shareware.<weep>
:(( That is a shame. But if all Belgians (?) are as crazy as the ones I have
met in Breuxels (?) I a not very surprised 😉
Bye
Alex
Bart,

please don't give Belgium a bad name, we don't need this.
I run a registration site for Golded, and I received plenty of shareware fees,
Nico Francois has 1300+ registrations for Spot (OK, from all over the world,
but I know lot's of people on Fido that are registered Belgian users), and I
could go on…
The shareware concept works, but it needs attention, the person that handles
the registration must be available, and needs to be reached by email. (try
writing Stefan Boberg of LHA, impossible…) There are off course exceptions to
the rule, just like in other countries we have 'swappers', 'hackers' and other
'personalities', but all in all, there's a community present that is willing to
support programmers. AUGFL (Amiga User group Flanders) used to be very active
(in the beginning anyway, I was a co-founder) and grouped those people, but
slowly dissapeared when Commodore got into trouble.
Off course there's shareware and shareware, all depends on your concept of the
matter. Generally speaking people will want a keyfile, just sending money
because it is mentionned in the docs wont work. Mind you, I think it should
too.
