How does the MiGraph scanner connect to the AMiga? Serial port? Thanks.
Leslie
The Migraph scanner connects to a SCSI port.

My GVP 030 Combo board will have a stroke if I add another external device
<g>. Maybe I'll swap out the tape drive. Thanks. Do you have the OCR
software? If so, how well does it work?
Leslie
To the extent that I have used the OCR pgm, I like it. It is pretty good about
reading magazines.
At the moment I am using aGVP SCSI-2, and the pgm/board/scanner hangup from
time to time. Some day I hope to get a SCSI device that is not run by black
magik.
You can get an ADPro loader for the scanner from Migraph. My only real complaint
is that there is no Arexx port.

I ordered the MiGraph scanner but Safe Harbor tells me that it works with
the parallel port. Plus, I don't see a loader for the MiGraph in ADPro. I
have one set of additional loaders that gave me Targa, etc. but no MiGraph.

Do you see one for a UMAX scanner, I have the UC300 and would like to use it
with the Amiga.

Nope. I don't have that scanner loader.
Leslie
As far as I know Migraph scanners use SCSI and need an '020 or better. I got my
ADPro loader later direct from Migraph.

Good. I'm looking foward to getting my scanner!
Excuse my ingnorance but waht is an ADPro loader?
C. Davey
ADPro is one of the better image processing programs around, though Ben would
say Imagemaster is better. ADPro has 3 basic functions loaders to move images
into the pgm, operators to process the image, and savers to store the result.
Note that the saver format need not be the same as the load format.

Thanks for the info. I need one.

Leslie,
LB>MiGraph scanner connect to the AMiga? Serial port?
No. Mine connects to the parallel port. I ended up getting a Multiface Card III
so as to not have to switch printer with scanner and back again.
