I've traced a long-standing problem to the Janus software. Here's what happens:
For a couple of years now running KS/WB 2.1, whenever I occasionally would run
Fixfonts, the system would hang, without a guru message. After installing KS/WB
3.1 I now get a # 800003 guru error and am informed that the system can't run
or load (I forget the exact phrase) Autoload in the PC/Services drawer of my
Workbench: partition. Of course I will try re-installing the Janus stuff, which
is the latest version. The 2386SX bridgeboard otherwise works pretty much
flawlessly, and so does the system in general. This is a minor annoyance but a
curious one. I've run Disksalv 3.0 and other utilities on the bootup partition
and have found no errors or crosslinks. This is all occurring on a late-model
A2000.
