Does anyone out there have the latest version of PC-Task running with Windows? I have one or two Windows programs I'd like to run on my A4000 and would like to know if PC-Task 3 will allow this.

Yes PC-Task 3 will let you run Windows. But it's real slow. <- James Scott -> Automated with AutoPilot!!!! Version 1.80

Thanks for the info. I only need it to run a couple of cruddy programs from work – I figure it's better to the extra stuff at home, even if it takes a little longer.

PC-Task 3 is a 286 emulator. It will run Windows, but very slowly. Most people find it's not worth the bother. Marion Deland CROSSINGS – Newsletter for Amiga/PC/Mac compatibility

Thanks for the confirm. As long as it's not too slow, this is probably the solution I need. Say, how much would your newsletter be for someone residing in Hawaii?

Same as the rest of the U.S….$48/year. Leave me your postal address by e-mail and I'll send you a sample issue. Marion Deland CROSSINGS – Newsletter for Amiga/PC/Mac compatibility

As a matter of fact I just installed it today. I am now running winCim to communicate with you. It is capable, bearly, I have an A2000 with 040 and Ram A Bernoulli disk is HD C: and Amigsa Dos can read it to with creative mountlisting. the emulation is still 286 but its quicker. this may mean Chris can only make 16bit emulation (maybe 8) with PC task. Some windoze programs require 386 or better so check the whares.Text Scrolls are SLOW but the manual says AGA and 24bit(Retina Picasso?) owners should see much better screen updates. Hope that gets you started.
