If Dell wasn't brought in till 10 days before the sale, and they were a "Omega yeah….", then they must be a pretty easy sale. I would suspect that Dell was quite aware of who C=/Amiga were. Whether or not they viewed them as a threat/serious competitor, is a whole different matter. Through the Toaster, if nothing else, they are sure to have heard of, and had a passing aquaintance with the Amiga. In just about any business, the serious players can tell you about every nut and bolt in all the other players products, even the obscure ones. Then for Alex Amor to waltz in their front door a couple of week before the sale, with a "Hey, I know this really neat dead computer company you can buy, and I'll run it….", just doesn't wash. Unless these guys are pretty easily parted from their money. I would be more likely to believe the $1M was money Amor scraped together, and Dell lent their name, in order to stall for more time, to obtain financing. Either that, or they were only interested in patents that they could obtain, and attempt to enforce. Thus the qualifications about patent rights. Bottom line…. If they were serious, they would have topped the $15M bid.
