I used to live in Bruges and Knokke. It is not because of positive experiences
that I have left that region to go to Brussels. But indeed, I generalized by
saying Belgium. My experiences where that bad that I don't even want to return
there. Brussels seems a *lot* better to me and I guess that Limburg is even
better than that.
Also, I have always developed for the commercial world and I may not know the
shareware world very well. I have been playing with the idea of making it also
but then, it all depends a bit on what will happen with the Amiga.

As to moving to shareware: it all depends on the application, doesn't it ? An
accounting package is destined for professional use.

I come from West-Flanders, I assure you it is even a lot worse than Brussels.
In fact, it was so terrible my brother used to call me a computer-missionary.
