I don't know about the success or failure of the CD32 in the market but I
thought the one I got was good value for money. Gameswise it looked as good or
better than other machines for the price and it would do more than games. I'm
looking at getting Groliers and the Insight series. Also I've seen people in
the users group with essentially an A1200 that can play videodiscs and for
about the same price as an A1200. So it can't be too bad 🙂
The set top box will be the new marketing tool of this decade. A little black
box on top of your TV with a modem and mini-printer built in. You see
something you like on TV, press a button and BINGO! you've bought it (the
product, that is). The box dials the number, makes the purchase and prints out
confirmation and expected delivery within seconds. A new era of impulse buying
is about to descend on us!
"We haven't got one of those because my Daddy was too slow in pressing the
button.." 🙂
