Can anyone recommend a source for photo images of people for architectural
renderings? The only cd's I've seen have models in ridiculous overly animated
poses. I'm looking for simple walking, standing and seated poses. Thanks
Harold
There is a CD of royalty free people in 300 dpi 24bit color .tiff
format called Bodyshots. $95
The only source I know of is Publishers Toolbox (catalog)

Lee, Thanks for the reply. I've seen Bodyshots too. From the looks of the
promotional shots, the people are showing a level of enthusiasm inapporpriate
to my work. Have you seen the entire collection? Are there any "normal"
straightforward shots. Harold
Enthusiasm????? Sounds like you're doing a 3D remake of Shadow Puppets.
I haven't seen the rest of the CD, only the promo.
I just got it in last week. There are probably about 15 poses that are
appropriately "normal" – so I think it's worth the $95. I bought it direct from
the company that publishes it-Digital Wisdom at 804-758-0670.
Thanks Rich, I'll give them a call and see if they can give me any further
information. Harold
Harold,
Here's what I do… I find a catalog, say J Crew, Brooks Brothers, or Saks, and
cut out the images I feel would be appropriate to the scene. Use an "exacto"
knive and just cut the image itself. Then spray mount several of these images
to an all white or all black piece of paper. Scan and use! If you don't have
a scanner, a service bureau will do the same thing for around ($10 – $15). If
you aren't exactly sure how to mask these into your scene without any outlines
just respond and I'll try to walk ya through it. Also, maybe I can down load
a person for you (I've never done this yet) to see if it's what your lookin'
for.
Good Luck,

Nick;
Thanks for the advice. Your suggestion is "plan B". No need to take the time
to walk me through it but a general overview of the process would be
appreciated if you have the time. Thanks, Harold
