#Real 3D rel2
4 messages in this thread
HIYA!
OK, what's the deal with that Real 3D package? I heard about it, and
started salivating at the thought of those thick, juicy B-Spline-based meshes,
those rich, textured and lustrous Ray-traced glass surfaces, and them spicy and
firm Inverse Kinematics, and last but not least, these cool and refreshing
Particle Systems! And all this for the low low price of $1200!!! Talk about a
meal!!
I'd like to think that Real3D is good, but I haven't gotten a chance to
put it to the test. Hey, all you B-Spline modellers who ran this baby a couple
of times: is she really that hot?
Thanks in advance!
Without going into the details, I found 3ds much faster, better designed and
more productive than Real3d. In my opinion the difference in price, even
including a lot of IPAS routines is much less significant than the real cost of
working with difficult to use tools ( time really is more than money! ) I am
considering R3d as a modeler only since the recent messages extolling the
virtues of the improvements in this area.

I totally agree 3DS is much faster and easier to use.
Please see REALGI.zip uploaded here. As an additional modeler…yes.
