Kevin, This follows your request for Internet service providers. I just have tried the Concentric Network: "Pay just $30 per month for unlimited telecommunications from any of the top 100 metro markets in the U.S. Stay online forever." The thing is just great. Flat rate of $30/month that gives you UNLIMITED connect time to the Internet (SLIP, gopher, telnet, everything, you can even setup your _own WWW page_ for free) as well as a bunch of BBSes throught the US and a huge library of shareware for both platforms. Again, their Internet access include absolutely everything you can think about and it is wicked fast ("[Concentric Network" fiber-optic netwrok allows for error free connections at up to 14.4Kbps" the ad says. I say it feels way faster than Compuserve, even on the WWW). They are going to support 28.8 soon, btw. In the first login you should call their 800 number (1-800-991-4227). There you will fill the registration, including name, internet name and password for your connection. Your account will be activated instantly (mastercard, visa, AMEX). Select the menu to access your local phone number and you are all set. Then call your local number, enter your name and password and you are in. Go to the SLIP/TIA forum and download InterSlip (which is really cool and easy to setup), the www browser of your choice (the new PowerMac version of Netscape rules 🙂 and the special guide that CRIS (concentric network) have available for InterSlip access (you can use MacSlip or SLirP, but InterSlip works wonderfuly here). The guide includes detailed instructions of how to setup MacTCP and special scripts for InterSlip. It took me -and this is an actual figure- less than two minutes to set everything up (and I confess that until yesterday, I didn't know a thing about how to connect to the Internet or how MacTCP works) but with this one page guide and the free software, it is a picnic. Select connect, launch NetScape and you are in. Oh boy, I love it 🙂 If you want I can send you InterSlip and the other files. BTW, this goes also for Wintel users. They will provide you with all the tools needed for accessing the WWW (and from there, it seems you can go anywhere) The flat rate of $30 per month is exactly the same. ana /krazy images
