I have "Secrets of Monkey Island". The game is pretty silent except for the
calypso music and water sounds in the beginning. When the characters
converse their text appears on the screen – but should there be audio clips
to go along with it? Is this mainly a text-based and music background game?
Thanks, Bill Hines
Yes. One of my big disappointments was when I bought the CDROM of Monkye
Island, having previously bought the game on disk. The only difference
between the two is the choice of language – no added music, voices, etc. So
unless you want to play the game in, say, Italian, return it and buy the
disk-based game – it's cheaper, and you won't miss anything. That said,
it's still a great game.
