#3D Artists & Animators 2
2 messages in this thread
Hi Lee,
I am really behind on reading my ASOFT messages and ran across yours. I
started a new thread because I imagined the old thread had scrolled.
I noticed that Louisiana was on your list asking individuals to contact you
about setting up 3DA&A and NAUUG chapters.
I'm your man in Louisiana, so let me know how I can help you.
I have been doing 3D PC animation since 1988. I use 3D Studio and various
"other" animation packages, along with Elastic Reality, Painter 3.0 (WIN and
MAC), Adobe Photoshop 3.0 (WIN and MAC) and more graphic utilities than I can
list here. I have written a couple of articles for Bill Allen's 3D Artist
Magazine and one for Computer Graphics World. Yes, I have been around for a
while.
I noticed that your didn't give a phone number, but now you have my CIS number.
Hope to hear from you, Bryce W. CF/X Image, Inc. at the big red stick animation
outpost down south!
Welcome aboard Bryce
Does this mean you are ready at this point to start up 3DAALA? If so
this is great news. Are you close enough that David, Jeff, & Bo might
join up. Sounds like you could have a pretty exciting group on your
hands.
1. Compose a Newsletter to your fellow Luzianns introducing yourself,
and the scope of the group. I have e-mailed you our standard newsletter
structure which you could or couldnot use if you choose (it's the
same as 3DAATB, 3DAANC, and 3DAAGA.
2. Contact Kathy Clinton at Autodesk, send her a copyable newsletter
and give her the zip-code range. She will take care of the mailings
for you.
3. Contact Toby at NAAUG so he can get your name in the NAAUG listings
as Autodesk MM contact for LA.
4. Contact LaVina at Digimation and Scot Sussman at Schreiber and let
them know what you have gotten yourself into.
5. Contact Jeff Reisner 75031,1525 and Dave Boddy 74213,257 here in the
forum and introduce yourself.
6. Find yourself a conveniently located meeting place.
7. Don't give up, "If you start one – they will come."
