Just in case anyone was wondering if a $190 drive would actually work with
photo CD, I ordered the demo CD from Kodak and it ran the first time off my
Mitsumi 5S. Pictures look nice indeed. As this drive is my first
experience with a CDROM, I have no way to subjectively compare the speed
(wish there was a benchmark program I could use) but supposedly the average
access time is around 390 ms with a 150 transfer rate.
