Autodesk's Vision
Carol Bartz, CEO of Autodesk, will share Autodesk's technology vision. Carol
will discuss the exciting convergence of different industries as it relates to
multimedia software. She will outline Autodesk's role in helping developers
reach consumers in the broadcast, entertainment, publishing and design
industries.

John Ison, Autodesks Director of Product Management, will discuss specific
opportunities for developing successful Plug Ins for Autodesk products. John
will start with a market overview of the design, visualization, film, video and
interactive content markets, and then highlight specific opportunities

Next Generation Environments for 3D Software Development
A panel of leading hardware and software vendors will discuss new 3D
environments, including a new generation of graphics accelerator boards and
system software.

Gary Yost and Don Brittain, members of the 3D Studio development team, and Bob

Tim Forcade's favorite Plug Ins
Tim Forcade, author of The 3D Studio IPAS Plug-Ins Reference, will feature
some Plug-Ins he feels best represent the power of IPAS. Tim will discuss how
IPAS has brought creativity to a new level by making it possible for media to
get directly into the hands of artists and creators. Tim will discuss user
interface, functionality, speed, documentation and pricing.

Autodesks Product Support Specialists will show how to go cross platform with
your 3D Studio files. They will demonstrate how to use 3D Studio files within
other applications, games and content, and what to keep in mind when developing
cross platform content.

Frank Galdes, Product Manager, will show you some exciting new authoring
technology, and showcase Autodesk Traveler. The new extensible,
object-oriented technology provides both a wonderful tool for title developers

Jim LHeureux, Director of Marketing, and John Ison, Director of Product
Marketing, will explain Autodesks new distribution model and how to effectively
sell through new channels. John will unveil plans for a new CD-ROM featuring
Autodesk developers, and other upcoming marketing opportunities.

Making Products for the Global Market
Teri Felix, International Product Manager, will lead a discussion on how to
initialize your products and how to successfully market them to the
international community. She will outline typical roadblocks, and how to

Developer Support at Autodesk
Jim Quanci, Director of Developer Relations, and Bob Henderson, Product Support
Specialist, will give you an overview of the support Autodesk provides for
developers. He will let you know the specific benefits of joining the Autodesk
Developer Program, including quarterly mailings, internet support, co-marketing
opportunities and more. He will also let you know whats in store for
developers in the future.
