I'll go look at the INI files – but where is the default stored ?

You can change the margin by going into Page Setup from the File menu. I don't think there's a way to permanently save the default from session to session, such as an .INI file. No doubt someone will jump in to correct me if I'm wrong <G>

Annie, >> No doubt someone will jump in to correct me if I'm wrong >> <G> No sooner said than done! <g> The only way I've found to do this is to actually patch the software. I use XTree Gold which has a binary file editor built-in. Some other utilities also have this capability. You can do it with debug if you have it and know how. I just load up notepad.exe from the Windows directory and then search for the word "margins". Once you find the settings can be seen not too far away. The default is generally at .75, so when you see that change it to .50–twice–for left and right margins. After you save these changes–it's permanent! As a last resort if you can find a friend with a hex-editing utility, you can send him notepad.exe to have this done. -Mike

Ha! I knew that! <G> Thanks very much for jumping in here. I'll save your info for the next time around.
