Tx for the heads up on NT3.51 supporting duplexing. I have the beta copy, but
until now didn't have a strong enough reason to try it out.
As for the stacker, it appears to be a sturdy pedestal for supporting the
printer, but it has a cavernous bin for collecting output. I would guess it can
hold 4 to 6 reams of paper. I am still pressing Microsoft on this point, but
don't hold out too much hope. Miracles do happen, but only in the Bible.

PMJI, but maybe the following idea (perhaps it's really not more than a silly
one) could help you:
In the Windows NT Resource Kit you can find a description of the escape codes
to control the printer via SEPARATOR FILES. Maybe this will lead you to a
solution.

I don't think that is a silly idea at all. I will study my resource kit this
weekend, and the HP manual this Monday, and let you know.

I found the information on Separator Pages and successfully modified one to go
to the lower bin. However, the printout did not follow. The output is from an
application called "Crystal Reports" and for me to be successful, I will need
to imbed the escape sequence in the job stream, not just the separate page. I
am having one of the developers looking into that possibility right now.
If I have any more news, I will post the findings in this forum.
