Hi,
I am using a HP Laserjet 4MP with WFWG 3.11 and OS2 Warp without any problems.
My question relates to the Energy Star power-saving mode of the printer.
According to the manual the printer reduces power consumption when switching to
standby mode. How do you know if the printer is in this mode? On my printer the
cooling fan seems to run all of the time – I expected it to work as on the 4L
where everything goes quiet when in power saving mode.
At the moment I turn the printer off if I am not going to be using it for a
while – I would think it is better to leave the printer running and let it
switch into standby mode. Any information anyone has on this would be most
welcome.
Andrew.
