HPLJ 4 CPU connector — declared parent_msg_num=(none), resolved parent_id points to #(none)
I'm very well satisfied with my two-year use of my HP LJ4, but I have a
(perhaps idiosyncratic) mechanical problem. The top spring fastener on the top
pin connector on the printer (which connects the printer to the console) is
apparently not strong enough to hold the connector tightly; the weight of the
cord pulls it down. About once a week the connection fails and I have to push
the thing in firmly to make a connection. I do wish HP had put a standard,
two-screw fastener there. I run an editorial consulting business, and this
failure always (of course) appears when I'm trying to make a deadline. It
isn't disabling, but it's irritating as hell.
