We have a problem on our Netware 3.12 network where everyonce in a while, a job sent to an HP 4 will result in millions of 1 byte print jobs, that fills up the queue entirely. Has anybody every seen this? We have a JetDirect card installed in the printer, and also have IP set up for the printer. Any Ideas????

Is it possible that an application being used by one of the LAN clients has incorrect timeout values or an application that prints directly to queues has a bug? Normally the kind of problem you are experiencing is related to user error, or application software error–not the Jet Direct card. I would check with the owning userid and see what they're up to. (There might also be a bug in the VLM or NETX junk that is required to be a Novell user on a LAN) Chris
