#Not enough RAM for that?

Jonas;
You said something about a 64K limit?
I thought I recalled something like that. So I opened my latest 3ds animation
file, and checked.
I had 52K vertices, and 95K faces. I am able to render stills. Am I looking
at a problem and don't know it?
Then I merged two additional pieces into it and had 99K vertices, and 191K
faces. I rendered seven images without a problem.
Is that limit on DXF only, or is it a 3DS limit that has been eliminated in
release 4?
Thanks, Dennis
Hi Dennis,

The 64K vertice and face limit is on a per object basis and Info Status reports
scene data. To review individual object vertice/face counts, use the
Info/Scene/Info command.
When bringing in ACAD geometry into 3DS, it's possible that the geometry,
created in ACAD when imported, exceeds this limit.

Whew! That's good. I presented some stills today of an animation I
am preparing for, and everyone was pleased. But if I was going to
have a problem, I needed to know now. Thanks for all your help
Jonas!
