Jim, Since CompuServe uses 7E1 by default, what you saw looked like garbage. However, there's a little trick to get CompuServe to keep the parity to zero, which is basically the same as 8N1. Simply modify your script to do the following after you get the CONNECT message: DELAY 25 SEND "" DELAY 50 SEND "+" WAIT "Name:" SEND "+CIS" WAIT "ID:" SEND "+73641.360/GO:PPPCONNECT\<insert password here>" DELAY "300" Unless you have set your 'first service at logon' in GO TERMINAL to anything other than MAIN, which is the default, the line that sends your ID and password in the above script, will take you directly to the PPP connect page. This way you don't have to bother waiting for a '!' prompt. — Quinten

Quinten, OOOOPS. You replied to the wrong person. But I don't mind. I get excited when my screen turns RED! <vbg> Jim Jaywal Productions, Inc.

Jim, Remind me not to send replies when I'm half asleep and have a purring cat in my lap, who keeps biting me when I stop petting him. — Quinten

Ok Quinten, I tried entering the commands you suggested after the CONNECT message (and made sure I save the changed DIALER in the dozen pla places it exists) and I still get the garbled screen. So the question now is: What next? [A I've gone over the whole PPP config and it looks like it's like it's documented. ..and when do I bring up AMosaic? Signed: FRUSTRATED & Ready to by an OS/2 machine… (p.s. any further hints about what I may not have set up properly will be welcomed)
