Is there a reason why my A2000 internal clock refuses to retain the date/time settings I give it in the Preferences drawer? Everytime I reboot (warm or cold) my settings return to January, 1978. Thanks in advance. Steve Steve Bailey Image Dynamics – Chicago

Stephen, >Is there a reason why my A2000 internal clock refuses to retain the date/time settings I give it in the Preferences drawer? Everytime I reboot (warm or cold) my settings return to January, 1978. You might try typing "setclock save" (no quotes) on the shell after you set the time to the current one. If that doesn't help, you may need to have the clock battery checked (don't know where or by whom though…). Skimming through the Redwoods on AutoPilot Asha

Steve… Try doing a 'setclock reset' command from the CLI. Then set your time, and do a 'setclock save'. -Jim MOS via Autopilot & Amiga

Steve – If saving the clock doesn't work, take a short wire and briefly short out the clock battery. It is on the front of the board and is the little blue barrel soldered to the left of the keyboard connector in socket BT809. This will often restore it. If not, we can get you one.
