A4008-HC8 = SCSI II?
Hilary, I'd be VERY surprised if it weren't SCSI II because I have an '030
accelerator from GVP from before the A4000 came out and it is a SCSI II
controller. I use a Toshiba 3401 CD-ROM but it's internal. After all the
discussion of external SCSI problems I can't guarantee one would work thru the

Thanks Tom. With messing both with the Amiga and our big PC often muddles me
up as to what I have popped into each machine.
Will buy a copy of "Computer Shopper"… and browse thru' the thousands of
ads', to see what and where CD-ROM drives are available. After all, an SCSI
drive is an SCSI drive, and they don't make them just for Amigas.
