Yup, I agree it realy bad that the Amiga is comming to an end I have used an
A500 since 88 the machine is easier to use than IBM and can do more. I have
done much work on my machine so it is now more powerful than an A3000. I
wouldn't give up on the Amiga Machine, there is somthing called emplant where
those of you who have a Amiga machines can immitate those other machines. Its
tough to go to an inferrior opperating system like DOS.
By the way I is there any way could get a high density boot disk. Also how can
Run programs downloaded from billboards. Have read amout unpacking. I am using
termite or do I need another pro gram to unpack it.

I personally do NOT believe in emulators. I am not saying that they don't work,
just that they limit your resources. If I get a Emplant then I get even fewer
slots to use for both the Amiga and what gets emulated.
For those who don't have much of requirements then these emulators will work
well but I usually push things to the limit so I am glad I got the Full-Tower
for the Pentium, these things can't be gotten from a emulator.
I beg to differ with you. If you know the Amiga then you know that the Video,
sound, parallel ports, serial ports, etc. are built into the machine and do not
require slots. I have (installed in my A2000 for quite some time) a complete
486/50 with CD-Rom, SVGA, Separate Hard drive, HD floppy, Sound blaster, Multi
I/O card, etc. and share the modem, monitor, printer, mouse, tape drive, etc.
and still have room for an accelerator, hard drive, extra serial and parallel
ports, Display card, etc. plus a 300watt power supply and external scsi cd-rom
for the Amiga. Now tell me that I have not had room for expansion,
HHHHMMMMMM!!!

True, but you then need to get these for the emulated PC.

Good. I have a A3000 with fewer slots than a A2000 and with the VT, PAR, TBC-IV
that only leaves 1 free slot. My next biggest problem is the RAM issue, since I
need the most amount of ram for 3D animation I can't be giving any of it up to
a emulator.

If it works for `YOU' then great, `I' just rather buy another machine than
place limits on myself. Anyway they don't have any Pentium BridgeBoards or
Emplants, right?
