Dear Christie, Sorry, but I came up empty in asking local video stores about the availability of The Gong Show–THE MOVIE. You would think that would be a natural for the rental stores. I never saw it myself. I did do two Gong Shows… the first being an impersonation of Rhett Butler singing and dancing to "I Won't Dance". I was gonged by Arte Johnson for that one. (Chuck: Oh, Arte, why did you gong my good friend Sean? Arte: He danced!) The second appearance I won the trophy, as well as the $516.32 prize money, for a bizarre little piece I called "Heart to Heart", in which I played two characters having an intimate, heart to heart conversation with each other: Grandpa Walton and John-Boy Walton! I did a full makeup and costume for each, splitting myself down the middle and doing the scene in rotating profiles. Don't exactly know what gave me the idea for it, except that I was a good friend of Will Geer, and performed in his Shakespeare acting company for several years. Good luck with your search!
