Hi John, I would like to get your and anyone else's recommendation for S-VHS VCR to digitize video into Adobe Premiere 4.0 using a Pentium 90, with 32MG ram, 2GIG HD. I want to stay in the $700 – 1500 range. We are using an Intel SmartRecorder Pro for digitizing. Thanks for your help Vincent Ortiz – AT&T

Vinny, I think that the Sony SLV-R1000 provides a good feature set including a control-L interface for about $900 or so. -John

We are using an Intel SmartRecorder Pro for digitizing.< I'm always pretty happy w/Panasonic's AG line which, despite a few flaws, seems to be the workhorse for prosumer video and is within your price range. The AG-1970 is their current model–you might want to look into it. Hope this helps, Tim Liebe
