Shoe, would you please give me some information about your text books for
AutoCAD. I have been using Terry's text for my R10 classes, however I
would like to have some supplemental materials.

Hey, don't go chang'in books on me. <big grin> Actually, your request for
supplemental material reinforces a point I was trying to make on another
thread earlier in this section. Instructors, such as yourself, want to
easily assemble a set of materials that fit their style and course
objectives. I get disappointed when I see a book or set of learning
materials that expect or require you to begin on the first page and end on
the last page. Instructors want to pick and choose bits and pieces from
several places. If the materials are really good, the chunks will be
bigger.

There are three versions in print now: R10, R11, and R12. Each is a
complete coverage of ACAD, including customizing, 3D, solid modeling,
rendering, AutoShade, intro to AutoLISP,and DOS. Solution
manuals/Instructor guides are available for each, as is student work disks,
and instructor disks that include drawing solutions for most problems in
the text.
Another book called "AutoCAD Essentials" is a more abbreviated book
designed for introductory courses, high schools, etc. Each chapter begins
with a short tutorial. Lots of test questions and problems at the end of
each chapter. Call 800-323-0440 & ask for Todd Scheffers or Dick Snyder to
get examination copies. Thanks for your interest.

publisher.
