Control of players with Panasonic CTL-M ports will be made available as an upgrade in the future. Recorders are controlled with infrared or through their S, swap or comp-u-link ports. A GPI switch output is used to control video switchers. The unit also has a time code input for advanced users who want to read linear time code from a player deck audio track. Each controller interfaces one player and one recorder deck. Use additional controllers for more than one player. They plug into any computer serial port. 3. MediaPhile Infrared Controller – This unit sends infrared remote control commands from your computer to video decks, camcorders, laser and compact disk players, and other devices. It is designed for use with other edit controllers to provide fully multitasking control. Commands for most devices are included with the MediaEditor software, others can be learned from your remote control. MediaPhile Industrial Controller – This unit interfaces industrial decks, like the Panasonic AG-7750 and Sony EVO-9600, to IBM compatible and Amiga computers. The decks are controlled through their 9-pin RS-422 ports. The controller plugs into any computer serial port. Each controller interfaces one deck. Use additional controllers for more than one deck. $95 Some industrial decks, like the Panasonic AG-5700 and JVC BR-S605U, have standards RS-232 serial ports and require only a cable to interface to the computer. Custom serial and Sony VISCA cables can be ordered for your deck from Interactive MicroSystems. They are priced at $45 each. The MediaPhile Universal Controller – Add our patented MediaPhile control port to any audio or video deck and turn it into a player with this unit.
