Further, the Trinity product is VERY ambitious (read: vaporware for months). What they did show, a marvelous paint called Panamation, was very impressive and very powerful. This Panamation program looks so good that it alone could be worth the $5,995 for the base Trinity system. If Play is smart, and I think they are, they will release Panamation as a stand alone product not waiting for the rest of Trinity to be completed. The other part of Trinity demoed at NAB was what they are calling a warp engine. Like Panamation, their image processing is awesome (in the classic sense of the word). Picture this: Kiki's face placed on all sides of a spinning cube IN REAL TIME _AND_ the reflection of that spinning cube and all of Kiki's faces floating on the moving surface of rippling water IN REAL TIME. Play has some real work left to do, but they have done some very impressive prototyping thus far. And coming from NewTek, these people have been at this computer video stuff as long as anyone so you know their coming at this with open eyes. Jeff Sauer Desktop Video Group
