I'm curious about putting together a Windows-based editing system to do "simple" home video editing. I'd like to be able to do titling, and some small number of transition effects. My environment is VHS (C). What does it take to do something like this? I've "overheard" stuff here about the benefits of VCRs with timecode capability for computer-controlled editing, but I'm not sure what that means. I have a JVC HRD-970U VHS VCR which has a number of time-based control functions (e.g., move to a certain time-based position on the tape), and a JVC GR-65 VHS camcorder, which so far as I know has nothing even remotely timebased in its repertoire. Any and all help would be appreciated! – Mark Olbert, Written 21-May-1995 @ 16:16:23 Using: Windows NavCIS PRO 1.62
