Any one know good translucense techniques? Our latest customer is a lamp company. Of course they want the lamps to turn on and off. No problem except for the shade which lets a little light through. I realize that you can always fake it by making two shades, one self illuminating, but since there may be an unknown number of lamp shades, it would be nice if there is a general lighting technique or ipas routine for 3D Studio that would give me a translucent surface. Thanks.
