#ciao/new scripts

Howdy all. I have to skip town again for a few days, but I'll be back on
Monday!
In the mean time, I've uploaded new goodies for you all to chew on:
[NOTE: all of the following REQUIRE The Script Extension]
EXCLUDE.ZIP
Contains a PXP script which will make managing the exclusion lists of
scenes with many lights much easier. (A good carpal-tunnel reduction measure.)
GAFFER1.ZIP
Another PXP light utility script with a kicking interface: this one
lets you adjust the hue, brightness and/or saturation of lights as a BATCH
operation. The script includes a wildcard node selector (easy to rip out and
install in other scripts) and HLS<->RGB colorspace conversion algorithms (even
EASIER to rip out and reuse — check out HLS.ZIP)
HLS.ZIP
I took the hue/luminosity/saturation algorithm from GAFFER and
dropped it into a simple IXP filter script for use in Video Post. Works like a
charm. You can probably speed it up by deleting all the comments.

Martin,
Not only great news on the TSE but what a great batch of utilities you've
included. There are several that really capture my attention including Ed's
particle engine and your HLS.IXP.
Can't wait to check them out. 🙂
Thanks,
John

Well, the stuff works!

Other than their utility etc. its really good to have examples of this breadth
and that in itself is a big plus. I'd be really suprised however if they didn't
work. <g> On one occassion I had difficulty making one of these TSE scripts run
but that was a combination of factors that had nothing to do with TSE per se,
if that is what you're referring to. And if that wasn't clear then, then I hope
it is now.
Thanks again,
John
