Which chip bad?

Help!!
My Amiga A2K has been acting up lately. The screen will start to "sparkle"
(random color pixels appearing, then rewritten back), then appear "staticky",
and finally appears to be green 1/2 screen 3D-look boxes rolling up as if the
vertical sync had been lost. Sometimes it goes to black.
It started doing this after a while. I reseated most of the chips and boards
(I used to have to do this every 6 months or so, but it would just lock up and
reboot to a red screen), and now it does it just after getting to Workbench!
Oops!
A cold or warm reboot just repeats the process.
The system has 2 Meg Chip RAM, ECS chipset, a G-Force '040 w/16Meg, internal
Syquest 88M. I pulled my Toaster out to upgrade, with no effect.
So, what chips should I replace first? Denise? The Agnes (pull the Megachip)?
The 68000 (which seemed pretty loose)? Try reseating again?

My first thought would be to check to be sure it is niether your monitor nor
the cable/connection to the monitor. If you're certain that it's not that, my
next thought would be the Agnus chip, or the connection there. Then I'd
check/replace Denise. I don't think it would be your CPU, but don't know
enough there to be certain.

I go along with Asha. First make sure the monitor and cable itself is
ok. Next…Denise then Agnus.

Try connecting the mono out of the A2K to a VCR for TV display when the Amiga
monitor starts acting up. I may be the monitor.
