The screen will start to "sparkle" (random color pixels appearing, then rewritten back), then appear "staticky", and finally appears to be green 1/2 screen 3D-look boxes rolling up as if the vertical sync had been lost. Sometimes it goes to black My first thought would be to check to be sure it is niether your monitor nor the cable/connection to the monitor. If you're certain that it's not that, my next thought would be the Agnus chip, or the connection there. Then I'd check/replace Denise.
